Hydration for Sports Performance

In my experience adequate hydration is often overlooked beyond perhaps slipping an electrolyte tablet into the water bottle.  However dehydration can be a major and dangerous factor in under-performance. During an endurance event your body may lose litres of sweat. Ensuring that you have hydrated properly prior to the event is just as important as your intake during and after the event.
